We had a super week in school, completing challenges and considering how we can ALL demonstrate kindness in our daily lives. We hope that the children showed their kindness at home this week and will continue to do so in the future.
Thank you to all the families that have donated clothes for the Derbyshire Refugee Solidarity Centre in Derby. Mrs House will be taking all that has been collected on Monday.
Look at all the things that Miss Dyson's class did during Kindness Week.
What sort of kindness superheroes were Mrs House's class being when they created this lovely card to send to Troy Jenkinson, following his author visit?
Miss Neville's children considered the ways that they would try and demonstrate their kindness throughout the week. Have they been keeping their promises?
Today the children were demonstrating their gratitude towards others. This looks like it will be the easiest challenge of the week - our children are fab at remembering to say THANK YOU all the time :)
On Tuesday we hosted the author Troy Jenkinson who shared his book 'The best Mummy Snails in the Whole Wide World'. The children enjoyed meeting the snails and talking to Troy about being an author.
The children worked on being compassion superheroes. The children talked about trying to notice when their friends were sad and offering them some help. This week the children are being challenged to be kindness superheroes. On Monday the children are being asked to demonstrate that they care for others. Add a comment below to share how you have cared for your friends, family or someone else that you know.
